Fafner in the Azure Series

Fafner in the Azure is a sci-fi mecha anime series following Kazuki Makabe, Soushi Minashiro, and the children of Tatsumiyajima island as they pilot giant robots called Fafner units and defend their home from the hostile alien race Festum at great personal and psychological cost.
